Mr M.A.V Raju Chartered Accountant. Served the Calcutta Stock Exchange ( CSE) for 26 years in Senior Managerial Position.

In February 2018, while he was serving as General Manager of CSE, he was compelled by State repression to submit his resignation as his wife Bharati Ghosh refused to join TMC.

Initial years of Bharati Ghosh

Joined as Lecturer of Business Management, Jadavpur University, later shifted to Police Service

Service with UN
Served the International Community under the auspices of the United Nations for 6 years . During tenure at UN, underwent further studies and training at International Police Academy Bramshill, UK , Embakasi Military Institute, Kenya and Police Training Academy, Jordan on different issues, international peace and security, bilateral and multilateral negotiations etc.

In 2003, started her career with the United Nations as a Commander of the Multi Brigade Force in Kosovo and served as Commander of Kosovo Polje, the largest ethnic sub -division in Kosovo.

From 2007-2011- served all major continents ( except Australia) as Policy and Planning Advisor in the different UN missions including that of Somalia, Chad, Haiti ( South America), Brindisi ( Italy), Erbil, Kirkuk, Basra and Bagdad, all in UMAMI ( United Nation’s Assistance Mission to Iraq) etc.
Received numerous Appreciation letters from United Nations Mission Heads and also six (6) Medals from the United Nations.

Service with Home Govt as IPS officer
As the First Lady Superintendent of Police in West Bengal, she held simultaneous charge of two Maoist districts of Jhargram and Paschim ( West ) Midnapore from 2012 to 2017. Initiated Surrender of several hundreds of Maoists and restored normalcy in the region. Received Chief Minister’s Medal for Commendable Service. Extremely popular in Junglemahal belt among the tribal Adivasis & SC/ST belt.

She resigned from service in December 2017.

Political Career
Joined Bhartiya Janata Party in February 2019 and in this political journey she has suffered quite a few life threatening attacks by TMC . She was physically beaten, assaulted and wounded during Lok Sabha elections in May 2019 and her CISF security guards fired to save her life. On 5th August 2019, stun grenades were thrown at her during a peaceful procession at Midnapore town and she was wounded and such attacks continued but she has not stopped. She has been instrumental in leading the fight from the front, and has led numerous rallies, processions, organized thousand of meetings, participated in Seva programs, as a loyal karyakarta of Bhartiya Janata party, carrying forward the dreams of the Hon’ble PM Modi ji to install a nationalist Government in the state of West Bengal.
